Material Categories

Three Material Families

We process a broad range of metals and non-metals — from common structural alloys to specialty electronic films and precision display materials.

Stainless steel material for laser cutting and custom metal parts
Most Popular

Stainless Steel

0.5 – 20mm

304, 316, 316L, 430

Clean edges, excellent corrosion resistance. Popular for food, marine, medical parts.

Mild steel material for laser cutting, fabrication and structural parts
Structural

Mild / Carbon Steel

0.5 – 25mm

S275, S355, A36

Cost-effective structural material. O₂-assist for thick plate; N₂ for clean edges.

Aluminium material for laser cutting and lightweight metal components
High Demand

Aluminium

0.5 – 20mm

6061, 5052, 7075, 1100

Lightweight panels, enclosures, brackets. N₂ assist for oxide-free surfaces.

Brass material for laser cutting, engraving and decorative metal parts
Decorative

Brass

0.5 – 10mm

C260, C360

Decorative parts, connectors, valve components. Precise cut on thin sheet.

Copper material for laser cutting and electrical components
Electrical

Copper

0.5 – 6mm

C101, C110

Electrical busbars, heat sinks. Reflective — requires fibre laser; not CO₂.

Galvanised steel material sample for laser cutting of HVAC parts, signage and automotive trim
HVAC / Infra

Galvanised Steel

0.5 – 4mm

Hot-dip or electro-galvanised

HVAC, signage, automotive trim. Cut in ventilated zone.

Tool steel material for precision metal cutting applications
Tooling

Tool Steel

0.5 – 12mm

D2, H13, O1

Jig plates, die components. Hard materials handled with adjusted parameters.

Spring steel material sample for precision laser cutting of clips, springs and contact components
Precision

Spring Steel

0.1 – 3mm

65Mn, SK5

Thin gauge, tight tolerance. Flex clips, springs, precision contact components.

FAQ

Metal Cutting Questions

These are some of the common questions customers ask before sending drawings or requesting quotation.

We work with DXF, DWG, AI, PDF (vector), and STEP/IGES for 3D reference. DXF is the preferred format as it preserves your geometry 1:1. If you only have a PDF or image, our team can redraw it — just note this may add a small surcharge and additional lead time for complex parts.

There is no minimum quantity. We regularly cut single prototype pieces as well as production runs of 5,000+. Pricing adjusts by quantity — the per-part cost drops significantly for orders over 50 pcs due to nesting efficiency. Request a quote with your target quantity and we’ll show you the unit price breakdown.

Our standard tolerance is ±0.1 mm on cut dimensions and ±0.05 mm on repeat (positional) accuracy. For tight-tolerance work we can hold ±0.05 mm on dimensions with extra programming care — please specify this on your drawing. Note that tolerances tighten for thinner material and loosen slightly for thick plate (>12 mm).

Both options are available. We maintain stock of common grades (304 SS, 316 SS, 6061 Al, mild steel) in standard thicknesses up to 20 mm. For speciality alloys, we can source to your spec or you can supply your own material — just ship it to our facility with your order number.

Standard turnaround is 2–5 working days from drawing approval. For urgent prototypes (1–5 parts), we can often deliver same-day or next-day if order is placed before noon. Large production batches (500+ parts) typically require 7–10 working days. Lead time depends on material availability, job complexity, and current queue depth — your quote will always include a confirmed delivery date.

Yes. Copper and brass are highly reflective and cannot be reliably cut by CO₂ lasers, but our 6 kW fibre laser handles them without issue. Copper up to 6 mm and brass up to 10 mm are in our standard capability range. We use nitrogen assist to prevent oxidation and maintain edge cleanliness. Note that copper pricing is higher due to longer cutting cycles.
