Common Questions

Logistics FAQ

Quick answers to the most common questions about ordering, delivery, and lead times.

Lead time starts from drawing approval — meaning the moment you confirm the quote and we have a reviewed, approved drawing with no outstanding DFM issues. If we raise DFM queries and you need to revise the drawing, lead time does not start until the revised drawing is confirmed. This is the industry-standard definition and ensures we are measuring actual production time, not waiting time.
If a complication is found during production that will affect the delivery date, we contact you the same day it is identified — not at the end of the scheduled lead time. We explain the issue, propose a revised date, and where possible offer an accelerated option. We do not silently extend lead times.
Yes — every quote includes a confirmed delivery date based on current production queue at time of quoting. If queue conditions change before you place the PO (e.g. if a week passes and queue has grown), we will reconfirm the date at PO acceptance. The delivery date on the quote is a genuine commitment, not an estimate.

Both options are available. We maintain stock of common grades (304 SS, 316 SS, 6061 Al, mild steel) in standard thicknesses up to 20 mm. For speciality alloys, we can source to your spec or you can supply your own material — just ship it to our facility with your order number.

Changes before production starts (no material cut yet) can usually be accommodated at no charge. Changes after production has started may require a revised quote if material has been consumed or tooling set up. If a change affects the delivery date, we will confirm the new date before proceeding. Always contact us as early as possible — the sooner we know, the more we can do.
Yes. For customers with monthly or quarterly repeat orders, we can establish a scheduled release arrangement — you release a batch at the start of each cycle and delivery is on a fixed date. This gives you predictable stock replenishment without placing individual orders each time. Contact us to discuss a framework agreement for recurring production.
